Texas Tech award to support innovation in ag industry
FORT WORTH, Texas (March 20, 2019) Fort Worth-based The Bogle Agency today announces its formation of a scholarship at Texas Tech University, geared to help agriculture students pursue innovative careers that move the industry forward. Established in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, The Bogle Agency Creative Scholarship was inspired by founder Lauren Bogle's own experiences at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
"Many current scholarships in the College of Agriculture are geared toward students pursuing more traditional agriculture careers," said Bogle. "I completely support those students, but there was a gap in scholarships for people like me, who had non-traditional career goals in the ag industry as I was pursuing a career in broadcast while in CASNR.”
Bogle’s career goals incorporated her advertising and communications skills with her love of agriculture, leading to the formation of The Bogle Agency in 2017. The agency supports a variety of clients, including many agriculture clients, with digital advertising, marketing and video services.
“It’s my hope that this scholarship will encourage students to think outside the box and start agricultural careers that challenge the norm,” said Bogle. “Ideas like that will cement the future of agriculture in New Mexico, Texas and beyond.”
