It's time for resolutions. Which, if I am being honest, I hate. A resolution is a firm decision to do or not do something. If you've read my recent blog post (found here), you'll know that I am all about the PIVOT. So instead of resolutions, I am going to give you my five goals for 2021.
Go Viral on TikTok
It's no secret that I have a small* addiction to TikTok. Because of this addiction, and the ever-growing promise of the platform for brands, my biggest goals for 2021 is to go viral. Not only would this be a fun goal, but it would be an excellent opportunity for our clients to continue to gain awareness with a younger audience. So let me know if you have any viral ideas. Even better if dancing is included!
*Actually, it's not small addiction at all
Land a Traditional PR Account
Public relations is my bread and butter. It is the thing that gets me going, and I love the challenges that the industry brings to the table. After being in DC, it is the closest thing to being in the political world. To top things off, I would love to bring in a tourism PR client. After working with so many unique destinations in my previous jobs, I look forward to getting more destinations to get the coverage they deserve.
Social Platforms for B2B Use
I'll have to admit that the first time that Lauren challenged us to take a look at how we could move the social needle on our B2B clients, I thought it was going to be pretty cut and dry… I was so wrong. I've spent the last year learning all of the different ways to advance our clients' exposure on the various social media platforms and want to utilize that knowledge to take it all to the next level.
Trends, Trends, Trends
This next one will seem obvious to many, but for me, this is my yearly reminder that the industry is ever-changing. In 2021, I want to continue leveraging new trends for social and content campaigns to keep our clients at the forefront of their industries.
Grow My Team
While most people are focused on the whole weight loss thing in the new year, my goal is to grow my content team within the agency. Due to the pressure of COVID, we challenged ourselves to take on a new workload to ensure that our clients' needs were being met. While challenging, I loved the opportunity to meet this challenge head-on and did more writing in 2020 than I have in a LONG time! In 2021, I would love to see the content team continue to grow (to go along with those PR clients, AMIRIGHT?!).
Whether you're into goals or resolutions, I challenge you to take a look at what you want to accomplish professionally this year and make it happen!

About The Author:
Kylie has trekked through some of the toughest terrains in the world, went toe-to-toe with her fair share of haters in Washington, DC, and has won a crown or two in her rodeo queen days, but nothing excites her more than finding the perfect detail in a brand/person and turning it into a story for people to hear. She's passionate about those she represents and gets to find those little intricacies that make each brand so special. For Kylie, it's not about developing award-winning campaigns, though she has her fair share, but about putting a face to a brand. No matter the ever-changing media cycle, the rapid pace of viral trends or just the everyday happenings, she's constantly hustling to stay ahead of the game and to know exactly who she needs to talk to.
